An ice storm caused damage to trees, utility lines and some houses and other buildings. Ice laden trees broke utility lines and service was out in some areas for parts of 3 days. There were many automobile accidents with many injured and some killed. Also, some people were injured by falling trees. The counties most affected were: Caswell, Rockingham, Orange, Durham, Alamance, Guilford, Forsyth, Rowan, Davidson, Randolph, Chatham, Moore, Montgomery, and Stanly. | |||
