Snow and sleet averaged about a foot deep in the Mountains, ranging downward to a trace on the immediate coast. Hundreds of traffic accidents and falls resulted in injuries sufficient to require hospitalization. At least one death occurred in a traffic accidents. Several roofs fell in from the weight of the snow and ice. There was some limited breakage of power and communication lines. | |||
