Strong storms to isolated severe storms preceded the arrival of the low along with a broad area of 2 to 4 inches of rain along United States Highway 1 corridor, producing flooding around the Triangle region of central North Carolina. Strong sustained gradient winds were felt over much of the area, with numerous gusts of 35 to 50 miles per hour.
